We delivered this project through the summer of 2018. A 50m2 extension and an extensive refurbishment of the existing areas formed the majority of the contract work. A new external soft playground area was created complete with a 7ft boundary wall for the children’s privacy.
The company gave over 200 hours work experience to two local school leavers on this project, giving young people the chance to experience what it it is like on a building site knowing to tight deadlines.
Works were procured through a construction framework operated by North Lincolnshire Council. Assistant was given to the quantity surveying team to help with value engineering. The project was eventually completed for 20% less than the original tender value.
