The building is a large detached property with out- buildings on a corner plot in Ashby, Scunthorpe. The main building had been previously used as an old people’s home and prior to that a Doctors surgery and house. The ground and first floor of the building were extensively altered with the demolition of internal walls and floors to provide bedrooms, lounge and kitchen on the ground floor and self contained training flats on the first floor. New windows and doors and fire escapes were fitted and the exterior cleaned and painted. An old garage was demolished to create a garden area and the remaining out building converted into a train-ing kitchen for the patients to learn new skills. The grounds were landscaped and close boarded fencing erected around the building.
