A new two story extension consisting of seven self contained flats was built at the rear of the existing home which continued to be occupied while the new construction took place.
Construction comprised trench and fill foundations with traditional masonry cavity walls with pre cast concrete floor slabs to ground and first floor level. The west elevation was partially clad in western red cedar and Juliette balconies fitted to first floor windows.
The flats were decorated and fitted out with kitchen units and appliances to provided assisted living
facilities for the residents. The grounds were landscaped and planted to provide an attractive and relaxing environment for the residents as well as keeping garden maintenance to a minimum.
