The works involved the construction of a single story extension at the rear of the school to create two additional classrooms. The existing staff room was enlarged and some of the classrooms affected by the creation of openings in the rear of the school to gain access to the new classrooms were also refurbished. By building two glazed corridors to link the new building to the school an enclosed courtyard was also created.
The new classrooms are conventional brick and block construction with a flat roof. The classrooms are divided by a moveable partition wall to give flexibility to the classroom layout.
