There is hardly a school in North Lincolnshire that GS Kelsey hasn’t worked at. It now seems we’re onto working at them a second time round.
During the early growth of the current business in the 2000’s we formed a new lift extension and enclosure for the school. In 2019 we were awarded the contract to deliver a new science lab extension at Axholme, Academy in Crowle.
The latest scheme saw the construction of a 300m2 extension to form a new science lab complete with specialist fitted furniture and science equipment such as Bunsen burners. The externals surrounding the building were also remodeled to form new paving and a courtyard area. The contract works were delivered by a permanent site manager and supporting contracts manager using the NEC4 contract. The construction phase of the project was regrettably delayed by the covid-19 pandemic.
The project was completed to an exemplary standard, exceeding benchmarks set by the North Lincolnshire Council Construction Framework which this job was procured through.
Building at schools continues to be a mainstay for GS Kelsey with all our site managers and operatives trained in the exacting requirements when working in live school environments and having been DBS checked.
