The project comprised of the repair and rebuilding of four fire damaged industrial units on the Fairfield Industrial Estate, Louth. The buildings were a portal frame design, set out in an ‘L’ shape.
The scope of work comprised of the following:-
Unit 1 Minor cleaning of items
Replacement of wall and roof cladding
Minor adjustments
Unit 2 Replacement of wall and roof cladding
Reforming of fire wall (party)
Rebuild of internal surfaces
Mechanical and electrical installations re-commissioned
Units 3 Total rebuild (except slab);
Steel framework replaced
Replacement of wall and roof cladding
Rebuild of internal surfaces, toilets and offices
Mechanical and electrical installations replaced
Unit 4 Replacement of wall and roof cladding
Reforming of fire wall (party)
Rebuild of internal surfaces
Mechanical and electrical installations re-commissioned
All external brickwork facing on to Nottingham Road and Bolingbroke Road was replaced. All roller-shutter doors and some external Upvc doors and windows were also replaced.
