The new purpose built pavilion provides changing facilities and showers for two teams and officials. All changing facilities are easy to clean, light and well ventilated requiring the minimum time to prepare for the next teams use.

The main hall area is divided with a moveable wall partition which allows the room to be quickly opened up to its full size. When in this configuration the room is used for indoor bowls. To achieve this the floor has been laid to very tight tolerances to ensure the bowls run true.

The building is conventional brick and block construction with strip foundations and solid floor. The roof space above the changing area has attic trusses to allow additional storage space for light equipment. The building is heated by radiators from a gas boiler which also provides all the hot water for the showers. PV panels have been installed on the main roof and this feeds in to the grid when the pavilion is not in use.
